Who can participate? 

Anyone building a startup, working in tech (or wanting to work in tech) or anyone supporting the tech and innovation industry in Calgary! That includes students, career changers, founders and employees of a tech startup in ANY sector at ANY stage.

 

That also includes tech ecosystem support organizations, funders, mentors, and of course investors... Angels in the Outfield?

Most importantly, EVERYONE IS WELCOME from first time players, to ringers, to former little league stars still dreaming of going to the show.

Every team will play shorter 1 1/2 hour games on 3 diamonds in very close proximity - so teams can cheer each other on and connect in between games.

 

Teams are responsible for organizing their own people, and need to bring their own gloves, bats and balls (bases are not required). Individuals wanting to join a team will need to bring their  their own glove. EVERYONE brings a positive attitude, and a friendly non-competitive spirit.

 

Note: There are first time players in this league - if you're looking for complete field domination or to improve your RBI, this might not be the league for you :)

YYC Tech Softball is a joint initiative between Arcurve, YYC Tech Gives and Platform Calgary. Any proceeds will go towards the YYC Tech Gives spring fundraising initiative.
